Ernesto Ortiz has more than 15 years of experience creating strategies to drive corporate marketing and communications for U.S. companies. His extensive experience directing a range of marketing functions, including public relations, crisis management, branding, advertising, employee communications, trade shows, events, thought leadership strategies and digital initiatives, allows him to strategically identify and integrate the marketing tools that will best help leverage a company’s business objectives.
Ernesto was part of a Silver Award-winning team at Nortel Networks where he spent 10 years as a member of the Global Marketing group, leading the Corporate Marketing and Communications team for the Caribbean and Latin America region.
As a Senior Consultant at Porter Novelli, Ernesto developed high-level initiatives for clients such as Hewlett Packard with focus on thought leadership and strategic corporate communications initiatives. Overall, he has worked or consulted for companies in some of today’s most dynamic industries, including Telecom, Financial Services, IT and Hospitality.
Ernesto holds a BA in economics from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), an MA in marketing from ESPM in Brazil, and an MA in corporate communications from the University of Florida.
Ernesto is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
