José Wilson Fonseca built an extraordinary career at MTV Brasil, where he worked for 18 years, becoming CEO in 2007. He left the company in February 2010 to establish his own consulting firm, now an associate of Americas Communications. As the CEO of MTV, Jose Wilson was responsible for setting the strategic vision for the future of MTV Brasil, in addition to managing key areas such as Affiliates, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing. In 2009, Jose Wilson developed the innovative digital platform for MTV Brasil known as Second Skin and established the company’s approach to digital media. The successful project has become a reference around the world.

From 2000 to 2007, Jose Wilson was Marketing Director of MTV Brasil. One of his most successful projects during this time was the “Dossie MTV”, a deep study on the young audience environment. Published every two years, the document became a reference for those who want to understand how Brazilian youth think, live and consume. Before joining MTV, he worked for two years for the advertising agency W-Brasil.

Jose Wilson holds a bachelor’s in marketing, an MBA in marketing from IBMEC and has studied management at PUC-SP.
